A health scare, but was being paranoid….

Felt something not right with myself and got a bit concerned. Decided to seek specialist help after thinking about it for a week. In the end, it was just paranoia and nothing was wrong. Goes to show that perspective in life changes with age. After a certain age, you will start to feel about end of life and what should be done before that end of life happens. Some will make sure that their loved ones will be financially protected even after they are gone. Others will just choose to love like today is their last day and not think much about tomorrow. Everything is all subjective and everyone has their own rights to their decisions. Ultimately, they are the ones who need to love through that decision and take responsibility for it whether they want to or not.

Following the consult and reassurance, decide to treat myself to a nice simple meal although it was quite expensive. But I thought it was worth a while cos it is to show me that I am still relatively healthy and still have the chance to build my wealth. Therefore decided to explore more into investment strategies in preparation for the future. In the meantime, will he trying to keep healthy as well.

A dose of healthy… Maybe not

Decided to try out a new dish from this place that serves everything will salmon. Thought was going on a healthy lunch but the sauce was too much and made the dish tasted quite salty and spicy. Couldn’t taste the raw salmon in the end. Better to have the aloha poke version than this bibimbap. But overall a place worth a try although not often as the price is quite expensive. It seems like healthy food is always going to be more expensive probably due to the raw food cost and the marketing involved to attract customers. It’s not like the $4 economic rice which attracts long queues during peak meal times. Probably worth considering a healthy economoc rice with partnership with the organisation to earn rebates and rewards.

Food to quench the misery?

Had a wonderful meal to try and weed the feeling of helplessness. Although not cheap, the meal was quite satisfying and managed to lift the mood a bit. Goes to show that I am probably belong to the live to eat party. Still no matter how good the food, once it’s gone it’s gone. The only way to bring it back is to order another one. However, you can’t do that with life. You only have one chance. Would you go all out and risk everything just to tell yourself, “At least I tried” but fail miserably or would you stay in your comfort zone and not try at all. People say you should not live with regret but what if the “try” paid a much a higher price than you expected?

There is no right or wrong to this. But I feel there is a lot of things that needs to be considered. The “what-ifs” are always the fear that prevents people from trying. Sometimes, failure does not only impact the individual but also the ones around them. But you never know until you try, but should you?

Long awaited relaxing Saturday.

Finally got a chance to finally sit down and chill over a slow and relaxing weekend. It isy first time trying out this cafe chain and this brace in the middle of the CBD is really very chill on a weekend. The food is OK but the coffee was quite good. Definitely a good place to chill if you’re alone. Have a great weekend everyone.

Greater the lot, bigger the stomach

Went for a great place for brunch over the weekend. Was a chance finding as I was not sure where to go. Was just taking a stroll around the cove and browsing through the line of restaurants to see which pique my interest. The name of the restaurant was quite unique and the place looks quite nice and refreshing. So decided to give it a try. The price was not the plus point but the quality of the food was. The big breakfast was really good and the salad was fresh as well. The uniqueness of the salad sounded a bit weird but tasted really good. Definitely worth a try.

Back again.

Getting used to coming back to this place for lunch. The lunch set is really value for money. Today’s menu consist of salmon chowder, hainanese pork chop rice and ending of with the usual coffee. The soup was really good with chunks of salmon that you bite into. The pork chop was a little disappointing cos it doesn’t taste like the traditional version that you get in Malaysia. But overall, still a good meal and great start to the work week.

Wonderful dinner by the sea, almost.

Had a wonderful dinner at the island resort of sentosa. Went on the Web to search their signature and it was really great. The pork jowl pizaa and beef cheek tortellini. Both dishes were wonderful and the quality of the eat was good. The pizza had a stronger pork smell whichay not suit the taste of some. The pasta was amazing with not a strong beefy smell.

The restaurant ambience was great as well. Was advised to sit indoors if you’re afraid of mosquitoes. But the alfresco dining area had a view of the south China area. So chose, dining with a great view but be food for the mosquitoes or fine in comfort with a slightly lesser view.

New place, novel lunch

Was exploring a new area in Singapore and ended up at an interesting place for lunch. Was near a very popular food court but it was closed during the day.

The lunch set served during the weekday was really affordable with quite decent coffee. The soup of the day (tomato soup) was really good and didn’t taste too sour as with most other soups. The main course of braised pork belly was served in a retro style bowl but not something I’ve seen before. The pork belly was braised really well though it was a bit too busy for me. The fat content was ok and the salad was quite nice. The ending with coffee was really great and looking forward to come here again.

Wrapping a wonderful trip.

Spent the last day of my Japan trip in Tokyo. Had a full day to roam around before making my way to the airport. Stopped by this amazing mall with amazing cafe. The coffee is really good. The ambience was nice as I sat down watched as the world go by in front of you. Makes me just want to sit there for as long as possible. Will try to compile the photos and put up a itinerary for a trip to Kyoto in time to come.
